Animal Shelter Coalition for El Dorado County

El Dorado County's New ANIMAL SHELTER
                            Set to Open October 16th

October 6, 2014 Update:  After years of advocacy efforts, IT'S FINALLY A REALITY! A new El Dorado County Animal Shelter a 6435 Capitol Avenue in Diamond Springs is opening on October 16th!   Over 16,000 square feet of modern, healthy, functional, animal and people friendly spaces!

We thank the Board of Supervisors for moving this project forward and taking action to complete the permanent West Slope Animal Shelter.

We thank County project managers for an exceptional job to deliver a wonderful new Animal Services Facilty!

We thank PAWED for adding key enhancements to increase adoptions!

MOST IMPORTANTYLY - THANK YOU-THANK YOU SHELTER SUPPORTERS!  Without your continued advocacy, urging elected officials to complete the project, this community would not be realizing this long held goal.   Great work!!
